Mystery Play Internet Radio

Old Time Radio Lives Here!

Mystery Play Internet Radio has been broadcasting old-time radio on the internet for 22 years. MPIR has evolved from simple playlists of mp3 formatted radio plays to sophisticated live stream programming to net casting on various listening devices. Clyde J. Kell the owner and operator of Mystery Play Internet Radio has only one purpose and passion. To enable as many people as possible from all over the world to listen and share old-time radio. My creativity now extends to creating visual art in acrylic, oil, watercolor, and pen and ink illustrations.

A Favorite Movie

Loretta Young, one of my favorite actresses from the 40's and 50's. In this movie as far as I'm concerned she really demonstrates her acting ability. An invalid husband suspects his wife and doctor are conspiring to kill him. He writes a letter to the police about his concerns. He is wrong, but when he dies unexpectedly the letter complicates things for his wife.

Watch it from the MPIR Theater page.  A great movie, enjoy!

OTR Lives Forever

Recently my attention was focused on two blog postings on the net about Old Time Radio. The Appeal of Old-Time Radio and Theater of the Mind: choice seats still available. Both are a very good read, and express some very positive points about Vintage Radio.

Old Time Radio the term used for radio plays from the 1930's through the 1950's. Radio was NOW you the listener are the participate. Your brain creates far better high definition pictures without the expense of some exotic television or monitor.
