Mystery Play Internet Radio

Old Time Radio Lives Here!

Mystery Play Internet Radio has been broadcasting old-time radio on the internet for 22 years. MPIR has evolved from simple playlists of mp3 formatted radio plays to sophisticated live stream programming to net casting on various listening devices. Clyde J. Kell the owner and operator of Mystery Play Internet Radio has only one purpose and passion. To enable as many people as possible from all over the world to listen and share old-time radio. My creativity now extends to creating visual art in acrylic, oil, watercolor, and pen and ink illustrations.

Playing MPIR

Hello MPIR Fans & Friends,
The Mystery stream is currently playing a special run of "Clyde's Favorite Series" The Hall Of Fantasy, The Haunting Hour, Inner Sanctum Mysteries, Suspense, The Weird Circle, and The Whistler.

The History Capsule is playing shows In honor of Black History Month, several episodes of:

Destination Freedom
Richard Durham's Destination Freedom premiered on June 27, 1948 on Chicago radio WMAQ. Durham's vision was to reeducate the masses on the image of African American society, since it was tainted with stereotypes that threatened to tear its beautiful culture apart.

New World A'Coming (1944-57)
Broadcast on New York radio station WMCA, this show was based on the work of nationally-known black journalist Roi Ottley.  New World A'Coming was frequently narrated by African-American actor Canada Lee, and showcased the work of other leading black artists (Duke Ellington wrote the theme song).  NWAC was a powerful and politically incisive program that aired political and racial issues in the US military and on the home front.  After two seasons, the program expanded its focus to include other minority groups.

The Comedy stream will be updated with several episodes of The Burns and Allen Show, Chase And Sanborn Hour, Jack Benny Program, My Friend Irma, and more for guaranteed belly laughs.
