Mystery Play Internet Radio

Old Time Radio Lives Here!

Mystery Play Internet Radio has been broadcasting old-time radio on the internet for 22 years. MPIR has evolved from simple playlists of mp3 formatted radio plays to sophisticated live stream programming to net casting on various listening devices. Clyde J. Kell the owner and operator of Mystery Play Internet Radio has only one purpose and passion. To enable as many people as possible from all over the world to listen and share old-time radio. My creativity now extends to creating visual art in acrylic, oil, watercolor, and pen and ink illustrations.

Pulp Radio Art Is Here!

Hello MPIR Fans & Friends,

First of all what's playing on MPIR. The Mystery stream is featuring several episodes of the radio works of two of my personal favorite radio actors. Dick Powell and Bob Baily! As radio detectives, or noir rough guys, they do a great job.

The Comedy and History Capsule streams are playing the normal, gang of players for your listening enjoyment.

Hot News! The last few weeks I have been working on black and white pen and ink illustrations. Inspired and based on specific series and episodes of these great old time radio shows.

How It Works  Each month I'll create (4) unique sketches based on a particular series and episode. These creations will be released on the "Pulp Radio Art" web page available for print purchase of three sizes.

The Deal These unique art creations will be available for only a MONTH at the current price. Each month a new set will be posted.

I know that I could never replace the imagination of your own creation when listening to these wonderful programs. However wouldn't it be nice to capture a memory of an action scene or two?

Starting with my favorite episode of Escape Three Skeleton Key starring Vincent Price aired Mar 17, 1950.
